First of all, I have to apologize for my absence lately-I’ve really been on my toes lately with work/school/life,etc.. BUT, I’m finally ready to get back at it and I have some really exciting stuff coming up to share with you guys, so stay tuned!
So, one thing about me: I definitely don’t subscribe to fashion “rules”. Wear your white after labor day, mix brown and black/silver and gold, and, of course, wear denim with denim. When it comes to wearing double denim, however, there are a few tricks I use to obtain the look I’m going for.
One easy way to pull of this look is to wear different washes/styles of denim to create contrast in your outfit. This light wash chambray top paired with darker wash jeans is my favorite way to combine denim. That’s not to say you couldn’t wear two denim items of the same wash, though-as I said, there are no rules in fashion! Wear what you want to wear.
I also like to stray from the “Texas tuxedo” look by cuffing the sleeves and unbuttoning a few top buttons for a more laid-back feel.
So…denim with denim, yay/nay?
