Oh, the dreaded Monday morning…Looking forward into another five days of work and/or class after a week of relaxation is never fun. But lately, I’ve been working on looking at Mondays in a better light. It’s a great time to clean your slate and head into the new week on the right foot. I know, easier said than done, of course. But, a simple routine change such as a morning run, eating healthier, or simply striving to think more positively (@me) can change your view on Monday from the beginning of an awful week to the beginning of a week of possibilities. Through this, I’ve come to realize that the tone you set on Monday can truly determine how the rest of your week pans out. So try to have more happy Mondays!
This weekend, I got my last day of relaxation in while strolling one of my favorite places, the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. Even in the winter (or whatever season we’re in in Alabama–it was 70 degrees today!), I absolutely adore the atmosphere and fresh air there. This outfit is the perfect blend of comfort and style for a day on my feet. I love to juxtapose laid-back and feminine styles and these distressed boyfriend jeans and nude leather flats go perfectly together. The flats are the softest leather and go very easy on your feet, even after a day of traversing the gardens and city. I’m looking for a pair of go-to good-quality black flats and I’m definitely considering buying these in black.
